Alaska Wild Cod from Homer

Jan 19, 2010

We continue to hear praise for the Pacific Cod shipping from the end of the Kenai Peninsula at Homer, Alaska. Unlike their Atlantic cousins, these fish are sustainably managed and harvested, with fish populations booming. Not only is the quality great, but they are reasonably priced and should be available through March.

The last of Captain John Bahrt’s Spot Prawns are now gone, and we will have to wait until next fall to enjoy them again.

In Morehead City NC, Captain Jack Cox is landing Triggerfish, Amberjack, and Southern Flounder for shipping tomorrow.

From the Gulf of Mexico near New Orleans, Black Drum are being landed and filleted at the same dock where our Gulf White Shrimp are in cold storage. You could combine both in a single box for delivery this week.

Wild, sustainable, direct, and in January
